*HAPPY NEW YEAR!*
I had a good hike earlier, around some familiar places near the town
I grew up in ... I couldn't believe it- the snow had begun to melt,
but managed to catch a glimpse of some icicles ... will be visiting
the proper countryside this weekend, where it's freezing cold!
I hear there's also plenty of ice on the lake ... better get practicing
on my skating!

... so I made it home just in time for Christmas! This picture was taken just
